Introduction

Crewik ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our event management platform and services: this website, app.crewik.com, and the Crewik app for iPhone and Android (Crewik: Tour & Show Days, published by Dog From The Moon).

The Crewik App

The Crewik app shows you the same crews and days as app.crewik.com, signed in with the same account. This is what the app does in addition to the above:

• A copy on your phone. The app keeps your upcoming days and the last 90 days on your phone, in an encrypted copy, so they open with no signal. Documents you open are saved on the phone too. If you use the Crewik widget or the Apple Watch app, what is next on your day is passed to them on your own devices. Signing out, or deleting your account, deletes all of it from the phone.
• Notifications. To send you notifications, the app gives Crewik your phone's push token, its language and its time zone. They are delivered by Firebase Cloud Messaging, a Google service, and on iPhone by Apple's push notification service, so the words of a notification pass through them. You can turn notifications off in your phone's settings.
• Weather. The forecast for the places on your schedule comes from Open-Meteo. The app asks Open-Meteo about those places only: it does not send your name, your account or where your phone is.
• Maps. Tapping an address opens it in the maps app on your phone, such as Apple Maps or Google Maps, which has its own privacy policy.
• Crash reports. In versions of the app with crash reports turned on, a crash or a slow screen sends a report to Sentry, which helps us fix it. The report says what went wrong, the phone's model and system version, and how long things took. It does not include your name, your email address or what was on your screen.
• What the app does not do. It does not ask for your location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone. It shows no advertising and does not track you across other apps or websites.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

• Service Providers: With third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf
• Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights
• Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets
• With Your Consent: When you explicitly authorize us to share your information

The service providers we use today are:

• Amazon Web Services: hosting app.crewik.com, storing uploaded files and sending email
• Stripe: taking payments for subscriptions. We never see or store your full card number
• Google: delivering notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging); looking up addresses, maps and travel times (Google Maps); telling people from scripts when an account is created (reCAPTCHA); and the fonts on app.crewik.com (Google Fonts)
• Apple: delivering notifications to iPhones
• Sentry: crash reports from the app
• Open-Meteo: weather forecasts in the app
• FlightAware: finding a flight by its number on app.crewik.com. Only the flight number is sent
• Esri: the background of the tour map on app.crewik.com
• Unlayer: the e-mail template editor on app.crewik.com
• Cloudflare (cdnjs) and jsDelivr: delivering a few scripts that pages on app.crewik.com use. Like any site your browser loads from, they see its IP address
• Vercel: hosting this website

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

• Access and receive a copy of your personal data
• Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data
• Request deletion of your personal data
• Object to or restrict processing of your data

• Withdraw consent at any time

Deleting Your Account

You can delete your account yourself at any time: in the Crewik app under Me, then Delete account; on app.crewik.com under Profile, then Delete Account; or by writing to hello@crewik.com.

Deleting your account deletes your profile, your sign-ins, your place in every crew you are on, and every crew you own with everything in it. We keep your information for as long as your account exists. After you delete it, backups and server logs made before then are not edited, so your information can remain in them until they are themselves deleted, and payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires.

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track activity on our platform and store certain information. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent.

Children's Privacy
